Great 27" Oven For Heat Treating Knives.
The LB 27 is starting to getting long in LB Series heat treat ovens for Knife makers and Bladesmiths who need the extra length or just more capacity. Capable of all heat treating processes up to 2200°F (1204°C). It's 571mm deep design and power to safely ramp your product to 1000’C in approximately 1 hour makes it a perfect fit for both private and low volume heat treaters, especially knife makers.
The chamber is a very useable 254mm wide and has an easy to access 165mm height. (Compare this capacity and access with other manufacturers designs and think of your current and future needs)
The comfortable width and no heating elements in the back wall reduces the risk of overheating tips and uneven heat distribution between multitple racked items.
The chamber is constructed with firebricks wrapped in a stainless steel jacket. Compared to fibre type insulation, this construction maintains a more consistent temperature when accessing internally during heat treatment cycles. Also unlike fibre based materials it does not go brittle over time therefore eliminating the risk of tearing, drooping or producing fibre filament dust.
CE Marked ovens feature a "Swing View" Control Panel, a Power Interrupt Swich to cut power when the door is opened, a swing-out door with an external Door Guard and cool-touch handle for comfortable use.
Control Options:
Rampmaster 3
The Rampmaster 3 is the traditional full featured control and features a 4 digit display. It contains 12 program slots to store your favourite heat treat programs. To recall them just select your User number and you're ready to go.
Other features include a numbered keypad, program review key and the ability to work with our Quiet Drive Solid State Relay System.
It offers two programming methods depending on your needs and experience:
- Custom Mode and Express Mode.
- Custom Mode is a programming method that allows you to define all aspects of the firing from temperature rates to set points and hold times. This programming style is perfect for heat treating and custom glass firing programs. Custom Mode offers full artistic control.
- Express Mode is a programming method designed exclusively for glass work and offers an easy, 3 step programming process. Simply key in your glass COE, firing style and firing speed to create the firing program. It's quick, it's easy and it's accurate.
Control Relay
There are 2 Control Relay options available - Solid State and Mechanical.
Solid State
Known as the "Quiet Drive Solid State Relay", the Solid State reacts more quickly than mechanical relays which translates to even more precise temperature control. Solid state does so without the constant "clicking" and eventual failure of a mechanical relay. We fully expect our solid state relay to last the life of the unit.
Mechanical
Mechanical Relays have been a steadfast component contributing to Evenheats great reputation for performance. They usually last approximately 10 years in heat treatment applications.
Blade Fixtures - OPTIONAL ACCESSORY
Our blade fixtures were designed specifically to hold your blades vertically and securely. They're well designed and provide ample space for foil inflation while being absolutely stable.
Our MK 2 Blade Fixture is the larger of the two and is designed for use with our LB and KF line of Knife Ovens. The MK 2 Will not fit in KH models without modification.
